Kayla Kirk — Wedding + Family Photographer

Hi there, I’m Kayla! Based out of Nashville, TN – I am passionate about photographing stories of love all over the world!

I’m happily married to my best guy, John David, and a new mama to the sweetest little boy! I’m a firm believer that marriage is one of the sweetest gifts and love cheering others on as they enter into this covenant together. Documenting family and maternity sessions have also gained a new significance in my life after the birth of my son. Our faith in Jesus shapes all that we do! In our free time you can find us snuggled up with our boy, nose-deep in a book, exploring new places, gathering with friends, and working on our coffee craft. 

While I’m a native of Tennessee, I adore travel and learning about other cultures. In fact, those interests are what first spurred me on towards photography! Paired with my passion for getting to know and serve people well, I quickly found myself photographing couples, families, and weddings at sixteen! Fast forward eight years later and this love has only grown. I never imagined all the people I would have the privilege to document and serve! Not only in the US Southeast, but most recently in places such as Scotland! If your wedding or special session is somewhere across the globe, don’t hesitate to reach out! My Approach

Photography is more to me than simply a photograph — it’s an opportunity for connection. It’s a way in which we relive tangible moments, celebrate milestones, and share our lives. Your story is immeasurably valuable and photos play a vital role in how it’s told. 

What continually inspires me in my work is light, those small details, and authentic moments. My approach on a wedding day is documentary and artistic. I believe in taking a step back, allowing a non-invasive and un-posed experience for most of the day because there is so much beauty naturally unfolding. I’m here to make you feel seen, true to yourself, and celebrated as you begin your grand adventure with your love. At the heart of my work, my desire is to best serve you.
